Pretech steering systems are compliant with international marine safety regulations (CE, ABYC and NMMA) and certified to ensure long-term performance and trust on every trip. The kit name incorporates the maximum horsepower it is rated for, making it easy to select the correctly rated system for your vessel.
Choose your kit
- STSF115, SteerFlex SF-115: single outboard up to 115 HP. KH18M helm pump (18 cc, mid mount), KC-115 cylinder, 2 x CH-5.0 hoses (5 m), KO hydraulic fluid 2 L. 5.2 wheel turns lock to lock, 350 mm wheel recommended.
- STSF175, SteerFlex SF-175: single outboard up to 175 HP. KH22 helm pump (22 cc), KC-175 cylinder, 2 x CH-7.5 hoses (7.5 m), KO hydraulic fluid 2 L. 5.6 wheel turns lock to lock, 400 mm wheel recommended.
- STSF350, SteerFlex SF-350: single outboard up to 350 HP, or dual outboards with a tie rod kit (up to 450 HP non counter rotating, 600 HP counter rotating). KH25 helm pump (25 cc), KC-350 cylinder, 2 x CH-7.5 hoses (7.5 m), KO hydraulic fluid 2 L. 5.3 wheel turns lock to lock, 400 mm wheel recommended.
Every kit includes the helm pump, front mount cylinder, two factory crimped hydraulic hoses, hydraulic steering fluid, filling kit and installation guide. Steering wheel, dual station kit, tie rod kit, tiller plates and spare parts are sold separately. Hose length can be customised to order.

- KH18M: 18 cc, 350 mm wheel (SF-115 kit)

- KH40: 40 cc, 400 mm wheel
All helms have 9/16"-24 UNEF ports, 70 / 105 bar relief pressure, weigh 3.9 kg and use a standard 3/4" tapered steering shaft. They need only 5" of space behind the dashboard with a 3" hole. A 5 position tilt helm (0 to 48 degrees) is available as the T version of each model.

- KC-115: 94 cc, 323 kg force, 184 mm stroke, 14 mm piston rod, 2.1 kg, rated to 115 HP
- KC-175: 123 cc, 422 kg force, 204 mm stroke, 16 mm piston rod, 4.5 kg, rated to 175 HP
- KC-350: 132 cc, 462 kg force, 204 mm stroke, 20 mm piston rod, 4.5 kg, rated to 350 HP single or 600 HP dual
All cylinders are 569.4 mm overall with 9/16" UNEF ports, independent outboard tilt, grease fittings on the support bracket and an advanced sealing system. Each is also available as an I (inboard bracket) or N (narrow) variant.
Hydraulic hose
CH series hoses with factory crimped end connectors come in 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5 and 7.5 metre lengths (RH series with reusable connectors also available). 5/16" R7 thermoplastic hose, 70 bar / 1000 psi working pressure, polyurethane cover, rated from -40 C to +100 C.

Note A: the outboard clamp brackets may need to be cut or ground down and the outboard bolted directly to the transom to avoid trim and tilt issues. Note B: a Yamaha steering hook (part 63D-48511-00-00) must be installed. Note C: high performance 115 HP outboards and any outboard with a 4 3/4" gear case (such as Command Thrust) must use the SF-350 cylinder. Always verify the model year of your outboard and make sure the splashwell is wide enough for the cylinder before ordering.
Dual outboard order guide (SF-350 series)
- SF-350, single cylinder, single outboard up to 350 HP: KH25, KC-350, 2 x CH-7.5, 2 x KO. 5.3 turns.
- SF-350-1CD, single cylinder, dual outboards up to 450 HP non counter rotating or 600 HP counter rotating: KH25, KC-350, 2 x CH-7.5, 2 x KO, tie rod kit TRX. 5.3 turns.
- SF-350-2CD, dual cylinders, dual outboards up to 600 HP: KH33, 2 x KC-350, 2 x CH-7.5, 4 x CH-1.0, 2 x T-fitting TF, 4 x KO, tie rod kit TRX. 8 turns.
