Boatgear is proud to release the range of Tenob Tuff marine cables and terminals to the New Zealand market.
The requirements of marine electrical systems are quite different to automotive or domestic ones. It starts with the cable which needs to be tinned and multistrand. Tinned cable, in conjunction with quality cable sheathes, is far more resistant to the environment and has a greater longevity than automotive versions.
Cable sizing to suit the electrical load is also important, so we have a wide range of cable capacities to suit.
Cables are sized by the cable area, not the diameter, so all the dimensions are shown as mm2.
This section covers the range of large and starter cables, which is extensive. The choice goes from 3mm2 to 95mm2, which covers most marine requirements up to large inboard starting needs.
We also carry terminals to suit.
